What are the symptoms of Tricuspid Valve Diseases?

The tricuspid valve is a three-leaflet region located on the right side of the heart between the right atrium and right ventricle. It ensures that the blood in the atria passes into the ventricle as it should and does not leak back. Here, stenosis causes not enough blood to pass into the ventricle, while insufficiency causes blood to escape from the ventricle back to the atrium.

The main symptoms of tricuspid valve diseases are shortness of breath and palpitations. Atrial fibrillation disease, one of the heart rhythm disorders, may also accompany. When the disease reaches advanced stages, swelling and edema in the feet and edema in the abdomen may occur.
