What are the symptoms of heart valve diseases?
The most common heart valve diseases are insufficiency and stenosis in the mitral and aortic valves. However, pulmonary and triscuspid valve diseases are generally seen in middle-aged and older individuals.
The most common symptoms of these diseases are palpitations, shortness of breath and fatigue. In the initial stages, symptoms are usually so mild that they cannot be felt. Patients often associate these symptoms with conditions such as stress, insomnia or fatigue. In the advanced stages of this disease, patients may begin to notice palpitations, shortness of breath and a feeling of heart palpitations.
While medication may be sufficient for the treatment of this disease in the initial stages, surgery with valve repair or replacement is required in advanced stages.
